Can you 3D-print toys for gliders?
Is it safe?

I don't know if its toxic if they try to chew on it. dunno

I might make things like rings they can carry around, or balls/other 3d shapes for a toy pit, or hanging cups with hooks built in for hanging. (if safe)

I just don't know if its safe.

The items probably would not be completely smooth, and I don't know what type of plastic is used.

I'm not very familiar with 3d printing.

There are filaments that are food grade and safe for gliders.

What type of toys are you planning to make? There are rules about minimum and maximum openings.

Something like 3D shapes like stars, squares, or triangles (without sharp edges)
They'd kinda look like they were blown up with a balloon, just to pout in like a toy bin for them to look around in to hide funner toys.

I also don't know much about 3D printing. My friend has a printer, and I was just wondering if this could end up being a way to make easy toys (for free)

For rings (if I did them), then it would be about the size to fit on your wrist, like the plastic ones commonly used.

I don't know for sure, I was just wondering if someone on the forum knew more about it than I do

(I couldn't get an image link from a screenshot to show you, sorry upset)

On the bracelets/ rings, they have to be at least 2.5" in diameter for safety reasons. Chunky gliders could get trapped

3d printed item are deem a supervise lay item. they not100 % sealed tight so bacteria can start growing in the layer line gaps. I make items for glider for photo stuff for my ex wife so I have a very good idea on things to be made.If you make anything it always a good practice to inspect the piece daily..You also should only make them with Petg filament as the pla can pull apart easier and if they chewing on pieces then abs and asa are basically toxic ( also recommend only using items with play time.

Thank you so much! I will definitely not use 3D printed items in the cage then!
I have a good number of supervised-only toys, so I probably have no need for 3D printing then.
I really appreciate everyone for your help!
