Daisy and Sweet William are ready to have their joeys any day. Well weeks ago I was talking to Alicia and Tony (desertmommy) and I thought I felt 3 joeys ip. Thought I was crazy. I also thought Daisy should have been due 2wks ago. Since Friday she has been singing up a storm. When I check her she has so many different body parts showing. It made me say "Could she possible have triplets in there?"

Well guess what "I SAW 3 JOEYS LAST NIGHT!!" HELP!

I am excited and concerned at the same time. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I know Peggy will tell me to breathe Not sure that I can.

Trying not to mess with her to much. Giving extra mealies. Will get pictures when I am able. Here she is last week.

WOW! She's HUGE! I know nothing about this part of joey growth, but I'm sure someone will come along soon, if they haven't already as I type this.

Oh wow... how cool is that? Congrats. I don't breed but from reading posts I know you should be ready to supplement feed. There was someone who recently had trips, supplemented a little, and everything has turned out well. Hopefully someone will be along to help you more. Daisy will probably be a great mom, just be sure she eats and drinks well. Good luck!

Wow congrats! I have never had triplets,I am sure someone with experince will help you out more. You should have a scale ready to weigh them when they come OOP and weigh each day to make sure they are gaining weight. Visit Suz's site and study up Learn how to check if their tummys are full. You will probably have to supplement one or all of the joeys, it is suggested to supplement the larger joey so the smaller ones get more of mama's milk which is better for them. Make sure to have the supplies ready and good luck

Looks like triplets. I've been fostering a pregger momma and she had triplets, looked just like yours. Good luck with your babies. We lost all 3 of ours, 2 girls and a boy, and I supplement feed all 3. Keep us posted!

Thanks you guys. I sent a pm to bdeese. Hopefully she will come on soon and see it. I have been breeding for a year now but I have never had triplets. I hope Suz will see this too. Think I have a few more days. I have a scale and stuff to supplement.

My very first set of joeys were triplets. That was about 10 years ago. At the time, I didn't even know triplets were rare. My gliders, Dixie and Dexter, did a fantastic job with them and they all survived with no intervention from me (I didn't even know you COULD suppliment feed them back then).

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best and be happy with anything inbetween!

Thanks all for your help. It is so good to have this community when you are feeling slightly unsure & nervous about things.

I have been giving her extra mealies all through the pregnancy. Last night I made some scrabbled eggs and put a extra dish with the eggs and a little extra yogurt. She did eat a lot of the egg when she first got up. She really didn't eat much HPW which is unusual. She has spent a great deal of time singing to the joeys.

Just gave her a bunch of mealies. Sweet William is going to be the size of a horse because he thinks he should have equal amounts. "Little Piggy" He is a sweety but when it comes to mealies he is crazy. He has a short body, he is going to be more square than long.

I got really lucky with my trips. I know that now. They came oop about a year after I got my gliders and I knew NOTHING about gliders back then. I didn't know they could be rejected. I didn't know they could be supplement fed or even hand raised if needed. So very much I didn't know back then. This was all pre internet/computer time for me.

I almost wish I could live in that "ignorant bliss" again. Now, I would be just a basket case with trips on the way again. You've got a good network going with help if you need it. If there is anything I can do to help, just ask. I rarely sleep at night.

I just wanted to post that while trips rare and can go wrong, I wanted you to know they can go completely right as well.

Thanks Dancing! I agree with you when I got my first suggie over 10 yrs ago. I really didn't have internet. I didn't know as much as I do now. Didn't worry as much either, and Suggie was just fine. Sometimes "ignorant bliss" is nice!

At least I didn't have nightmares and worry!

Here is a picture of the triplets and Daisy. You could see each triplet clearly. I think there is two girls and a boy. Still not 100% sure. By the time I tried to take pictures she had move them under her, but I think you can see 3 tails.

I think she has about 2 more days. I think by the weekend. I went back and read throught the threads of Barbara and Holly. I definitely think since she lost one of her joeys the last time that I may supplement once a day at night like Barbara did.

Reading back through those post made me realize things went pretty smoothly. I am hoping for the same.

Here is an update! Daisy is getting bigger bursting at the pouch. Still stuffing them back in, which is ok with me. Gives them more time to cook a little more. So amazing!

I cooked some chicken this afternoon and hand fed her a little. Still using the glider crack and extra mealies.

Now I think there are two boys and one girl. Thinking of naming them Jade, Juniper, and Jasmine. Although I will take name suggestions.

Mom has been singing so much you wouldn't believe it and the two boys are detached and oop this morning. Each weighing 10.4 and 10.6 gms. Although it is very hard to tell them apart right now. They look so a like. The little girl is still in pouch.

The little boys are dark and the little girl is much lighter in color. Will try to get pictures later.

WOW, those are some big babies for triplets! 10 grams is what my twins usually weigh in at. Congrats to you and momma. Did you hear that big sigh from mom when she finally popped those little ones out?

Wanted to finally get some individual pictures of the triplets. My biggest issue is my scale. I got the little jewlery scale that was recommended from ebay. It is so small and when the joeys move the numbers fluctuate so much I not feeling like it is very accurate. I took the fleece blankie from their pouch and wrapped them in it to keep them slightly still. Oh and I can't tell the boys apart!! They are all averaging around 11.4 to 11.5. Any one use a specific scale to help me out. The other scale I have is in 2 gm increments.

What is glider crack???

It is canned chicken, avocado, and egg mixed together with a little applejuice or hpw. Some add repcal.

Is there a particular time to feed this or is just for nursing moms of trips?

I think people use it any time they need to get extra nutrition into their gliders.

Hi all just wanted to give a triplet update.

I haven't had a computer for the last week got a virus and had to send it in. Got it back yesterday and just wanted everyone to know that the triplets are doing well.

Everytime I say that I say it quietly as to not jinx myself.

I have some pictures from this morning but I can't seem to get photobucket to upload them. I have tried several times today.

They have been gaining nicely everyday. Today is the first day that they didn't gain as much weight. But last night Mom and Dad were getting their HO HO on for Christmas if you get what I mean. So they were really busy and I am not sure how much nursing the joeys were able to do. It amazes me how they can mate with three babies nursing. I am always so worried they will squish the babies. I will be anxious to see the weights in the morning.
